Majlis pertunangan adik aku diadakan baru-baru ini di rumah makcik aku. Menumpang kasih la kiranya.. maklumlah kami ni anak yatim piatu. Majlis ni diadakan sekali dengan kenduri kawin anak makcik aku tu le. Nikah sehari sebelum dan majlis bersanding sehari seselepasnya.
Semua barang2 hantaran ni isteri aku yang mengusahakan. Ringkas je.. tak ada gubahan2 yang memeningkan kepala... Gubah susah-susah pun lepas tu kena bukak jugak kan...
Kami angkut semua2 dari Bangi... sampai kat rumah makcik aku je dia pun tanya, "Mana telurnya?".
" Hah..! Telur apa pulak?"
"Orang perempuan balas hantaran kena ada telur tujuh bijik".
"Ooooooooo.... gitu".
Apa lagi, terus la ambik telur masin yang memang dah siap untuk kenduri sepupu aku tu bubuh dalam bekas masukkan sekali dalam hantaran. Aku pun tak tau apa rasionalnya kena ada telur, apa simboliknya pun tak boleh nak dikaitkan. Kenapa tujuh bijik pulak tu... simbol bakal ada anak tujuh ke? ngeh ngeh ngeh...
Janjinya 6 bulan hidup... flexible time la tu. Maknanya aku kena bersedia nak jadi wali menikahkan adik aku ni nanti... buat masa sekarang tak rasa apa-apa lagi... sampai masa nanti sure berdebar jugak...
